1. Description of Services
Engel Logistics Group offers international logistics services including ocean, air, and ground transportation, warehousing and distribution, and customs brokerage. Specific services, rates, and conditions are established in formal written quotations.
2. Quote Requests
Quote requests submitted through our website do not constitute a service contract. A formal quotation will be issued by our team after reviewing your shipment details. The service contract is only perfected upon written acceptance of the quotation by both parties.
3. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information about the cargo, including description, weight, dimensions, value, and tariff classification.
- Complying with all applicable export and import regulations in the countries of origin and destination.
- Obtaining the necessary permits, licenses, and documents for customs clearance.
- Correctly declaring hazardous, restricted, or specially regulated goods.
4. Limitation of Liability
Engel Logistics Group will act as a freight forwarder and/or logistics intermediary. Our liability is limited to the terms established in each service contract and the applicable international conventions (Warsaw Convention, Hague-Visby Rules, CMR, as applicable).
We will not be liable for delays, losses, or damages caused by force majeure, acts of government authorities, strikes, adverse weather conditions, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
5. Cargo Insurance
We strongly recommend obtaining cargo insurance for all shipments. Engel Logistics Group can arrange insurance upon client request. In the absence of contracted insurance, liability for loss or damage is limited to the minimums established by applicable international conventions.
6. Payment Terms
Payment terms are established in each formal quotation. Failure to make payments may result in suspension of services and retention of cargo until the outstanding balance is settled, in accordance with applicable law.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including texts, logos, images, and design, is the property of Engel Logistics Group or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Reproduction without written authorization is prohibited.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of El Salvador. Any dispute shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of San Salvador, El Salvador.
9. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will take effect upon publication on this website. Continued use of our services implies acceptance of the updated terms.
